Today State President of Tawi Andolan, Sushpal Singh held a press conference at his place. He appealed to the General public to keep Tawi river clean and should not polite the sacred water. This water used to be considered as sacred and pure as the water of Ganga. But due to the diversion of the sewerage pipes of the houses situated in its banks the water has become stinky and unfit for use. So he appealed everybody to take a pledge to revive the purity of Tawi. We should also regard the sentiments of our religion, which tells us that all rivers should be considered as mother. We should worship its sanctity.
He also appealed to the General public to avoid throwing garbage, polythene bags and any type of leftovers. Especially he requested a strobe after Kanyapujan on Asthtmi and Navmi, nobody should throw Chunnies, flowers poly thing and other items of puja in the Ravi.
The press conference was chaired by Sushpaul Singh and attended by Rajinder Khujuria, Raj Kumar, Prof Bhardhvaj, Sunita, Ram Lal and Monika Khosla.
