New Delhi, May 17: Live cricket score and updates of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 Eliminator match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
The Knight Riders, who were strongly touted to finish in the top two alongside Mumbai Indians, find themselves in an unfamiliar territory – up against the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad, who possess one of the most balanced sides in the tournament and would be raring to go one step closer in their bid to defend the title.
While KKR managed to defend a moderate 172 at Eden Gardens in the first meeting. David Warner and Co. bounced back to claim a huge 48-run victory in the second encounter, with the skipper himself slamming a 59-ball 126 in Hyderabad.
With Ashish Nehra ruled out and Yuvraj Singh due for a late fitness test, SRH squad still looks untroubled considering the quality of reserves – Mohammad Nabi, Mohammad Siraj, Vijay Shankar and Bipul Sharma – they have in the squad.
Gautam Gambhir’s Kolkata, on the other hand, will be foreced to reconsider their strategy up front as Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine haven’t been as successful as a pair as they were in the initial few games, with the latter becoming more and more predictable in matches of late.
Chris Woakes and Shakib Al Hasan’s exit for national duty, and with injuries to Suryakumar Yadav, Nathan Coulter-Nile’s, skipper Gambhir does have plenty of issues to address before today’s decisive clash begins.
