Rajouri, July 17: An army soldier, identified as Naik Muddasar Ahmed, was grievously injured in cross firing in Rajouri sector on Monday morning.
A defence spokesperson told that Muddasar was evacuated to the MI room where he succumbed to his injuries.
Naik Muddasar Ahmed, 37, is a resident of Duchoo village Tral area of district Pulwama.
He is survived by wife and two children.
Meanwhile, a five-year-old child, identified as Syeda, was killed after a shell hit her house in Behroti area of Balakote sector of Poonch district.
Also, a woman was seriously injured in Manjkote sector of Rajouri.
