    Border with China disputed: Army

    New Delhi, July 27: General officer Commanding-in Chief (GoC-in-C) of Udhampur-based northern command Lt General Devraj Anbu on Wednesday said that borders with China in Ladakh are “disputed” but things are under control and the army is prepared to deal with any situation.
    “In Leh, our borders with China are not demarcated. Chinese have their own perception about Line of Actual Control (LAC) and we have our own,” he told reporters at Drass in Kargil.
    “I would like to assure you that situation is peaceful because of the mechanism available to us, plus the protocols and agreements. On ground level, we have a regular interaction. We also have an easy way to communicate. We are able to resolve our differences,” he said.
    He said since 1962, Army has enhanced its capability in terms of troops and equipment. “We are well prepared to deal with any situation,” he said.
    Asked whether Government of India is in knowhow of the situation at LAC in Leh, the Army commander said : “Government knows everything.”l_218630_025135_print
