Srinagar, Aug 05: Chairman Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Saturday questioned the state government for repeatedly shutting down educational institutions and Internet services in Kashmir, saying the harsh steps were no solution to Kashmir problem.
“Last year great deal of concern was shown by PDP Govt regarding the education of Kashmiri students (but) this year educational institutions are repeatedly shut down by them. Does it not matter now? Will Blocking internet repeatedly and randomly contain the problem? (sic),” Mirwaiz wrote.
He also questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement in which he said “dialogue is the only way to resolve conflicts.”
“Apart from Kashmir I guess! where Govt of India’s is using its iron fist military approach to deal with a political problem,” he wrote in another tweet.
