Jammu: The State Cabinet is set to meet on Wednesday at Jammu to take a final call on several issues.. Sources disclosed that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti would chair a meeting of the Cabinet on December 28 at 4:30 PM to approve the Governor’s address to state legislature at the beginning of the Budget session.
The Budget session would commence on January 2 with the Governor’s address to joint sitting of both the Houses in Central Hall of the legislature complex in Jammu.
The PDP-BJP Government is also expected to decide on the appointment of new Director General of Police as the incumbent police chief K. Rajendra retires at the end of this month. K. Rajendra, who took over as police chief in 2014, was given three- month extension in September this year when Kashmir was reeling under unrest.
