Jammu Dec 28: In a tragic accident on Gulabgard-Ishtyari road in Padder area of Kishtwar District, at least seven people feared to be dead after a Scorpio vehicle bearing No. JK02BL-2914 meet with an accident near Thumb village some 150 KM from Kishtwar.
While divulging the details SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Kumar Wazir though confirm that accident had taken place, but refuse to comment on the death tool. He said that the area is very remote and lacks communication added that after hearing about the accident, police party lead by Dy. SP Atholi Pardeep Kumar Sen had rush towards the accident spot added that the police team was yet to reach the spot as the area is very far off, beside also lacks the proper road connectivity. He said that the locals informed the police that seven persons were on board the vehicle including the local driver hailing from Ongaie village of the Padder. He said that another police party from Kishtwar is also on its way to Padder to assist and expedite the rescue operation.
Meanwhile the locals informed that the area where the accident took place has more than 800 meter deep gorge added that it will not be feasible for the police to start rescue operation during night hours. They said that the road is in shamble condition and blames the construction agency for poor, slow and Sub standard work in the area. They said that the road in under construction since last several years and further said that several accident took place on this road in last several years as a result of which many innocent persons lost their lives.
Meanwhile the unofficial sources identified the person on board as Manoj Kumar Son of Mohan Lal resident of Ongaie (driver), Narinder Kumar son of Gyan Chand resident of Tham,
Sunil Kumar Son of Sahab Singh resident of Tham, Aman Singh Son of Devan Chand resident of Swash, Dharminder Singh Son of Kartar Singh resident of Bastaun, Rohit Singh Son of Roop Singh resident of Swash and Rangail Singh Son of Bodh Raj Resident of Swash.
