Rajouri, May 21: Rajouri police today claimed to have a minor girl who was allegedly kidnapped by a youth.
Police said that a woman namely Tripta Devi wife of Amrish Kumar of Poonch at present Chingus lodged a written report at Police Post Chingus that her minor daughter has been kidnapped.
She alleged that Akshay Gill son of Preet Kumar of Poonch has kidnapped his minor daughter. Accordingly, case FIR Number 195 of 2017 under section 363 and 109 of RPC was registered in Police Station Rajouri.
During the course of investigation, police immediately deputed police parties of PP Chingus to different suspected locations of Jammu, Poonch and Udhampur under the supervision of SHO police station Rajouri IPS (Prob) Sudhanshu Verma and DySP Headquarters Rajouri Jaswant Singh for recovery of abducted girl.
However, a police team headed by SI Fareed Ahmed Incharge PP Chingus , recovered the abducted girl from the possession of accused Akshay Gill from Indra Chowk in Jammu after a very hectic search and arrested the accused.
After medical examination and other legal formalities, Police handed over the girl to her parents and further investigation is going on. The locals of Rajouri highly appreciated the efforts of Rajouri Police for recovering the abducted girl.
