Islamabad, Apr 3: Former Pakistani international cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi on Tuesday appealed the international bodies to stop the bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, Afridi wrote “Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the XXXXXX Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self-determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?
Earlier Pakistan’s Federal cabinet took a decision to send special envoys to various capitals of the world to highlight the human rights violation in Kashmir.
Pertinent to mention, thirteen militants and four civilians were killed, around 100 sustained injuries during the encounters between the government forces and militants in Islamabad and Shopian districts of south Kashmir on Sunday.
