KATRA, Feb 16: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Information Technology, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, FCSCA, Tribal Affairs, Relief & Rehabilitation and Labour & Employment, Ajay Nanda today said that government is working vigorously to upgrade the infrastructure in the state to ensure overall development and for which no stone shall be left unturned.
The Minister stated this while addressing a public here in Antali after laying the foundation stone of several development works in Katra town.
The Minister laid foundation of five works which include lanes and covered drains from Janta Palace to Ragu Nath temple, Shop Bombay Variety to House of Kewal Padha, Kaka shop to Pardeep Padha, House of Kantu to Shiv Mandir in wards- 5, 3, 8 respectively involving an estimated cost of 25 lakhs.
He also laid the foundation of septic tank and water tank at ward no-1 to be completed at an estimated cost of 5 lakhs. On completion, this will benefit thousands of tourists and local people as informed by the concerned officer.
Minister said the Government is endeavoring to upgrade the basic services in every part and also laying thrust on providing more accountable, responsive and transparent administration to the people. He further said this will not only ensure effective implementation of developmental initiatives but also encourage the authorities to work hard and achieve fixed targets well in time.
Meanwhile, various local deputations called on the Minister and apprised him of their problems and demands seeking early redressal of the same for which the Minister assured the people that all their issues would be looked into for necessary action.
