    Amit Shah reaches out to Kashmiri youth, says “Those placed stones, guns in your hands didn’t treat you good

    Srinagar, June 23 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday reached out to Kashmiri youth, saying “Those placed stones and guns in your hands didn’t treat you good”. He urged youth to come forward and be an agents of change in the county as Indian and global market awaits your talent.

    “Kashmir has witnessed tumultuous phases and post-abrogation of Article 370 the UT has learnt how to move forward,” Amit Shah said while addressing the gathering after inaugurating several projects in Srinagar. Shah while reaching out to Kashmiri youth said “Those placed stones and guns in your hands didn’t treat you good. This shouldn’t have been happened with you. Kashmiri youth deserve pen, laptop, books, inclination to history so that you will excel and prosper in the changing scenario in the country”.

    Shah said that PM Narendra Modi nullified Article 370 and 35(A) and brought peace, prosperity and development in Jammu and Kashmir. “Development is underway in J&K after August 2019. Educational institutions and industries have shown interest in setting up their units in Kashmir. Administrative reforms were done. So it is our collective duty to take J&K to the newer heights,” Shah said.

    Taking a dig at Gandhi’s, Abdullah’s and Mufti’s Shah said that these three families didn’t allow democracy to flourish at grassroots level. They even failed to hold Panchayat elections in past 70 years. In contrast Prime Minister Narendra Modi took bold and courageous steps and brought massive changes at grassroots level. “Panchayat polls were held after a long pause in J&K and thus democracy flourished in every village of Jammu and Kashmir,” Shah added.

    Shah also added that it is for the first time that people of J&K are availing benefits of lots of schemes.

    Earlier in the day Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived at Jammu airport where he was received by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and other top officials of the J&K administration. Shah later on addressed a public convocation in Bhagwati Nagar Jammu.(Agencies)
