New Delhi: After receiving positive reviews in the home country, Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor starrer ‘102 Not Out’ hit the screens in China. As per noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, ‘102 Not Out’ is off to a slow start at the Chinese Box Office.
Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#102NotOut starts on a slow note in #China… Should, hopefully, witness an upward trend over the weekend… Debuts at No 4 position at #ChinaBO…Fri [incl previews] $ 1.22 million [₹ 8.51 cr] Shows: 47,714 Admissions: 273,910”
Bachchan senior and Rishi Kapoor have delivered some of the most memorable ventures together such as Kabhie Kabhie (1976), Amar Akbar Anthony (1977), Naseeb (1981), Coolie (1983) and Ajooba (1991).
Besides Bachchan and Kapoor senior, ‘102 Not Out’ stars Jimit Trivedi. Director of the film, Umesh Shukla has previously directed classic drama ‘Oh My God’ featuring Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar in lead roles. The film was widely appreciated by the audiences.
The film, which raked in Rs 85 crore in worldwide theatrical earnings during its lifetime run, has become the eighth Indian movie to release in China this year after ‘Secret Superstar’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Sultan’ and ‘Hichki’.
