SURANKOTE, Oct 31: Unity Day is to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand t celebrated on 31 October every year to mark the birth anniversary of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Indian Army based at Jarran Wali Gali (JWG) in Poonch district organised various events at Higher Secondary School, JWG to celebrate the 146th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India. An awareness lecture was conducted for the school children regarding Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s contribution in uniting India. The teaching staff, locals and school children pledged to maintain the Unity in Diversity and Integrity of the country. A Volleyball match and prize distribution to the participants was also conducted. The Ekta Diwas has provided an opportunithe actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our county.
