Srinagar,Authorities on Wednesday intensified crackdown on pro-freedom leaders in Kashmir to prevent their participation in Pakistan National Day function in New Delhi on March 23.
While National Front Chairman Nayeem Khan was arrested from Srinagar airport, the Hurriyat (M) spokesman Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam was placed under house arrest today morning.
Both Khan and Islam were scheduled to fly to New Delhi today to participate in Pakistan National Day functions at the country’s embassy.
