KOKERNAG, DECEMBER 15: A day-long ‘Go Digital Go Cashless’ awareness programme was held today at Kokernag in which legislator Abdul Raheem Rather was the Chief Guest.
The programme was jointly organized by the district administration Anantnag and CSC e-governance Services India Limited.
On the occasion, District Informatics Officer Anantnag gave a detailed presentation on cashless payments, while as officers of CSC conducted a question-answer session.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr Rather deliberated upon the benefits and opportunities entailed by the cashless payments. He called upon the bankers to take a lead in creating awareness about the programme among the general public. He also highlighted the initiatives taken by the Government to facilitate and incentivize the cashless means of payments.
The awareness programme was attended by SDM Kokernag, Tehsildar Kokernag, officers of J&K Bank and other concerned.
