     Bali for time bound disposal of all important public issues; Directs officers to ensure close synergy to achieve timely results

     

    JAMMU, MARCH 31 – Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat has called upon the officers to adopt pro-active approach in addressing all issues relating to the public importance. He said that present PDP-BJP Government headed by Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti is committed to ensure transparent, time bound service delivery to the people at the grass-root level, for which every functionary has to be made accountable towards his/her assigned task.

    While reviewing the functioning the health & medical education department at a meeting held in his office chamber here today, the Minister issued specific instructions to the Commissioner/Secretary Health & Medical Education, M.K. Bhandari to further streamline the functioning of the department and make everyone accountable for achieving the targets in a time bound manner. He directed for ensuring quick disposal of the cases and prioritizing the issues of utmost public importance so that the benefits of the government schemes percolate down to the needy.

    The Minster directed the officers to maintain close synergy with all wings, seek regular feedback, performance reports to create a positive impact of this important department among the masses. He said the health & medical education department has a special mandate to provide better healthcare to the people through a vast network of health institutions across the State, therefore, a well-knit synergy and monitoring is needed at different levels. He also urged the Commissioner to have regular interactions with the subordinate officers/heads of the institutions to get the feedback of services, performance and lapses, if any, and addressing the same on priority basis.

    The issues related to the availability of manpower, medicines, equipments in the health institutions across the State, functioning of para-medical institutions, especially the newly established, viz-a-viz starting the classes and status of various on-going projects were discussed in detail. The Minister directed the Commissioner to personally monitor the progress of these flagged issues.

    Among those present in the meeting included, Additional Secretaries, K.S. Chib, Naseer Ahmed Wani, Joint Director Planning, Madan Lal and others.
