Bhadarwah June 19 : To register their resentment, what they call ‘unprovoked Chinese aggression in Galwan Valley of Ladakh’, BJP beside paying homage to the martyred soldiers, held a strong protest at Bhadarwah and Bhalla on Friday.
Homage was paid to the slain soldiers followed by protest and pledge taking ceremony to boycott Chinese products at Bhadarwah and Bhalla simultaneously in presence of state working committee member Advocate Manjeet Razdan and District Doda vice president Sanjay Saraf respectively.
At Bhadarwah BJP workers gathered at historic Seri Bazaar and after paying homage to the Galwan Valley Martyrs of Indian Army, burned effigy of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“We have gathered here to lodge our protest against China for their breach of trust and we also took a pledge to boycott all the Chinese products,” said Advocate Manjeet Razdan.
Later a similar protest was held at Bhalla led by BJP district vice president Sanjay Saraf, where a rally was also taken in the market by the workers shouting slogans against china, after which protesters converged at Bhalla Chowk where effigy of Xi Jinping was burnt.
” Our soldiers are capable to protect our borders and can fight the Chinese Army at any given time and in any circumstances but to teach China a strong lesson, we need to fight them on the economic front as well and the most effective way is to stop selling and buying of all Chinese products,” said Sanjay Saraf, BJP District vice president.
Prominent among those who were present during the protest include, Sandeep district general secy BMYM, Kuldeep Singh Distt IT Incharge, Sanjay saraf Distt vice-president and Bhalla prabhari, Raj Singh Charak and Bhadarwah Mandal Pradhan Yudhvir Thakur.
