BJP J&K is a Party of Land Grabbers:- Youth Congress Spokesperson VISHAL CHOPRA
“Govt Should Conduct inquiry on Former BJP Chief J&K & Ex-Minister Industry & Commerce for grabbing State Land in Kathua & Samba District
Jammu 29 July:- Youth Congress Spokesperson VISHAL CHOPRA Said “BJP in J&K is becoming a party of land grabbers and land encroachers. Countless cases have been coming to the fore exposing their leaders acquiring state land or someone else’s lands, by using their political stature and power. And people involved are very senior BJP members and big names in the political scene including Former Cabinet Minister, Ex-BJP President, and Ex-MLAs among others.
Recently, a video pertaining to a Former BJP Chief of J&K, a former MLA & Cabinet Minister of J&K for Housing and Urban Development, went viral, which showcased a person saying that he is brother of the said leader, was attempting to occupy state land in Kathua, which he said was in the name of the BJP leader
The locals living in the area have also shown their outrage through demonstrations and have spoken to the media on the matter. They alleged that the land does not belong to the BJP leader and is state land, a Nallah which caters to many fields.”The brother of the leader tried to illegally occupy the land on his behalf without any permission. We have been facing issues regarding this land for a long time”, one of the locals alleged.
Youth Congress Spokesperson Vishal Chopra slammed the BJP after another land dispute case involving a BJP leader came to light in J&K. “Yet another Former BJP minister has been accused of occupying land by illegal means. It exposes the abuse of power by BJP leaders and the J&K Administration should not be blind and mute to it since the person involved has been a former minister.
Chopra Said A case had been registered against a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) former Cabinet Minister holding Industries and Commerce ministry, at Vijaypur police station for seizing land. It alleged that the former minister, along with his relatives, tried to forcibly grab some land. The case has been filed by another senior BJP leader. “There needs to be a proper inquiry to investigate this misuse of power at the hands of senior BJP leaders. Another Senior BJP leader, himself, has accused him of illegal land possession and in fact, lodged an FIR, which is proof enough that these accusations aren’t empty.
Youth Congress leader demanded a judicial probe into the matter and appealed to the administration to conduct a proper inquiry. Chopra Said I urge the J&K administration to appropriately and seriously investigate the matter of land grabbing by BJP politicians in J&K.
