BSF Jammu celebrated 57th BSF Raising Day
On 1st Dec’ 2021, BSF Jammu celebrated 57th Raising Day with fervour and ardour at Frontier HQ Paloura camp and all its under command Battalions deployed at International Border of Jammu and line of control in Rajouri, Poonch area.
Sh D K Boora, IG FTR BSF Jammu paid rich tributes to brave martyrs of BSF who had made supreme sacrifice and laid down their lives for the nation.
On the occasion, IG congratulated all ranks and emphasized upon to continue achieving new heights and thwart away any attempt of enemy to disturb peace and tranquillity and social fabric of the nation. IG BSF also highlighted the achievements of Jammu frontier.
IG Ftr also welcomed the BSF veterans and interacted with them who were present in a large number on the occasion. The veterans were given a rousing welcome and they danced and enjoyed during the occasion to the patriotic tunes of the band.
It is heartening to note that during the year 2021 many Jammu frontier personnel were awarded for their dedication and devotion to duty such as Police Medal for Gallantry (PMG) – 01, Police Antrik Suraksha Seva Padak – 2026, Utkrisht Seva Padak – 323, Ati Utkrisht Seva Padak – 163, Director’s General Commendation Role (DG’sCR) – 453, Additional Director’s General Commendation Role (ADG’sCR) – 38, DGP’s J&K Commendation Medal & Certificate – 06 and DGP’s J&K appreciation – 07.
During the event, a very colourful and enthralling cultural programme was also presented by BSF personnel and Jammu BSF School children.
