Srinagar, Dec 14: Chill intensified in Kashmir valley, where the minimum temperature recorded a considerable drop due to open sky, while Leh and Kargil continued to freeze at below minus 10 degree Celsius.
A Met department Spokesperson said here this afternoon that weather will remain dry in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 72 hours, due to which the night could become more colder, the though maximum temperature would be near or above normal.
The world famous ski resort of Pahalgam was coldest in the valley, where business and other activities remained shut and educational institutions closed due to separatist strike.
