Ms Avny Lavasa (IAS), today inaugurated Wash Rooms (Public Convince) units in Ward No. 21 Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under Swach Bharat Mission in presence of Ms. Bhanu Mahajan, Councillor Ward No. 21, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. Two units one at Police Station Gandhi Nagar was inaugurated in presence of SP South Sh. Deepak Dingra, SDPO South Sh. Ram Singh, SHO Gandhi Nagar Gurnam Singh Choudhary & SHO Women Cell Ms. Arti Thakur at Police Station and second unit was inaugurated at Govt. Boys Hr. Sec. School in presence of Principal and Staff members of the school. The concerned Officers of Engineering Wing of JMC were also present on the occasion. Social Distance as well as other Guidelines / S.O.P. of Covid – 19 Pandemic was maintained. The concerned Councillor expressed her gratitude to Ms Avny Lavasa IAS, Commissioner, JMC for timely completion of the Washroom units which is likely to give benefit / service to the people / visitors of the ward. The Cost of each unit is Rs. 10,50,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakh Fifty Thousand Only). This initiative of the Councillor of Ward No. 21 was appreciated by J&K Police specially the Women Folk and by the Principal & Staff of the School. The Commissioner, JMC requested the general public to help JMC to put an end to the practice of open defecation and maintain hygiene and assured the residents / institutions functioning in Ward No. 21 for the best possible services by JMC.
