    Commissioner/secretary Labour and Employment department holds Block Diwas at block Chatroo of district Kishtwar.

    With an aim to reach the people of the Chatroo and to assess the developmental scenario of district Kishtwar, On the 2nd day of his visit to district Kishtwar Commissioner /Secretary to Labour and Employment department Sourab Bhagat who is the in-charge  Secretary of district Kishtwar presided over the 2nd Block Diwas/Youm-e-block here in the premises of TRC Chatroo .
    He was accompanied by Labour Commissioner J&K Abdul Rashid War, CEO cum-Secretary Jammu Kashmir Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Peer Muzaffar, Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Mohd Hanief Malik, Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Dr Harmeet Singh Mehta, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pawan Parihar,BDC chairperson Chatroo Fatima Begum, BDC chairperson Mughal maidan Hamida Begum, SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar, BDO Mughal Maidan Arun Badyal besides various district officers and officials among others.
    The Block Divas Celebrations at Chatroo witnessed the participation of more than 700  locals and the PRI members from different parts of the block Chhatroo and Mughal Maidan.
    Several delegation leads by BDC chairpersons and PRI members projected their demands and also apprised Commissioner Secretary about their grievances which include the Posting of  MBBS doctor in the PHC Chatroo, establishment of new Power receiving station at Chatroo to augment old one, payment of land compensation to land donors at present rates,
    Sanctioning of Wooden logs to PMAY- G beneficiaries for timely completion of their  under constructed houses ahead of winters,
    Establishment of Fire brigade station at chatroo, the conduct of special  DG recruitment Drive in  Chatroo , early payment of MGNREGA wages, providing of adequate staff in govt departments particularly education and health institutions,
    Road connectivity at kisanpora, gorinala,arigam, rahalthal, Tak pora and khayein areas, regularisation of daily wagers, restoration of 4G internet services,
    and sanctioning of JNV school at Chhatroo, the commencement of work on sighpora- Yaloo tunnel among others.
    Besides other Demands related to the up-gradation of health, education, power, water infrastructure at the local level was also highlighted in the programme.
    Responding to the issues of the PRI members Mr Bhagat assured them that their genuine demands will be fulfilled in time-bound manner.
    He also redressed many grievances on spot and documented the rest of their grievances for further forwarding to the concerned heads for immediate redressal.
    Earlier he also inspected the stalls installed by various departments and directed the field functionaries to disseminate the awareness regarding the various individual beneficiaries schemes among the masses by organising awareness programmes in different parts of District.
    He also stressed them for ensuring 100 per cent saturation of the eligible farmers and workers with various govt schemes in these 21 days of Jan Abhiyan.
    During the programme, he also launched the plantation drive in collaboration with the Department of Forest.
    On spot 476 Ladli beti sanctioned letters were distributed, 37 beneficiaries of Labour Department were given educational assistance, Labour Cards were distributed among 707 workers, 542 Domicile Certificates were issued, Motorized tricycles were distributed and KCC cards were distributed.
    Earlier in the morning commissioner /Secretary also flagged off Mobile Van of Labour Department Kishtwar launched for creating awareness regarding the Mission Mode project launched by the Govt. for the registration of Building and Other Construction workers of the district.
    He then inspected the under constructed 100 bedded Block at district Hospital kishtwar, Indoor sports stadium at GHSS (girls) kishtwar, SC/ST Hostel and Science block GDC Kishtwar and reviewed the pace of the ongoing developmental works there.
    Meanwhile, earlier in the morning Commissioner Secretary also chaired a meeting with all the district officers and reviewed the physical and financial status of developmental projects under different schemes undertaken by various departments in Back to the village, MGNREGA, languishing, Jal Jeevan mission and other flagship programmes of the district.
     A comprehensive discussion regarding the various issues like pending land compensation under PMGSY and PWD projects, strengthening of the District Hospital with staff, bifurcations of Medical Block Dachhan and Medical block Kishtwar,Sanctioning of funds for new Ambulances to DH kishtwar, non-availability of fruits and vegetables Mandi in the district despite being high horticulture potential district, the disparity in the subsidy rates in IDSSR scheme w.r.t Doda district, filling up of vacant posts in various departments at district level were held in the meeting.
    Commissioner Secretary assured that he will put forward all these issues with concerned higher-ups for the immediate redressal.
    In the meeting Commissioner /secretary further stressed for 100 % Aadhhar seeding of bank accounts of all individual beneficiaries.
    Enroute he also kick-started the Blacktopping on the 10 km stretch of the Chatroo to Malik Nar Road.
