JAMMU, DEC 17: A meeting of Managing Committee Sports Authority of India (SAI), Training Centre Jammu was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh, who is also the chairman of the management committee of STC Jammu to discuss various important issues of the committee.
Director Incharge Sports Authority of India, RC Chandigarh Lalita Sharma, Incharge STC Jammu Varinder Sharma, Vice Chairman Jammu District Sports Council Ranjit Kalara, Manager J&K SSC Ravi Singh, besides others attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussion were held on issues including condition of the hostel, identification of alternate accommodation in case of renovation of MA Stadium, Extension of the under construction indoor complex at MA Stadium to accommodate hostel for STC, Allocation of additional toilets, stores, rooms, flood lighting of the handball court, and other issues. A number of decisions were taken during the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu asked the members of the committee to ensure that the best facilities and training has been provided to the sportspersons. He also constituted a committee to submit a report with fifteen days with regard to shifting of children to suitable accommodation in case of renovation of MA Stadium which will start at the earliest.
