DDC Kishtwar holds awareness camp at SAGY village Bhatan Nagseni.

District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today held a day-long awareness camp here at SAGY village Bhatan , Nagseni in which a plethora of officers of Frontline departments took part and educated the inhabitants of the Panchayat Bhatan about the various centrally sponsored schemes and other welfare schemes.
During the camp various district officers along with other field functionaries of various departments briefed the masses about the various Schemes of the govt that are meant for the upliftment and welfare of the common masses in these far-flung areas.
The departmental heads and field functionaries underscored the eligibility criteria, pre-requisites and the aims and objectives of different schemes like the PM-KISSAN, Kisan Credit Card, Soil health Card for Agriculture sector, various education assistance and other assistance schemes for the labourers and their wards provided by Labour department, Dairy entrepreneurship programme, poultry venture capital fund scheme, Integrated Dairy Development Scheme of Animal Husbandry, Rashtriya krishi Vikas Yojana, National Livestock Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Special scholarship Scheme for students, Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojana, Pre matric scholarship, Post matric scholarship, Old age pension and other social welfare schemes among others to the masses present on the occasion.
Addressing the people, DDC Kishtwar said that Agriculture being the primary sector in this area has very high potential and hence the young generation particularly those who have returned from the other states due to COVID-19 crisis must take up agriculture and Agri allied activities to uplift their economic standards.
He also asked the people present on the occasion to get themselves educated about the various centrally sponsored schemes meant for their welfare.
On the occasion, DDC also inspected the various stalls installed by different departments exhibiting and showcasing their departmental products and schemes through posters, leaflets, booklets etc.
The main highlight of the awareness camp was that AYUSH immunity booster medicines which were also distributed by the Department of Indian System of Medicine AYUSH kishtwar among the farmers on the spot.
ISM doctors also educated the masses about the mode and dosage of consumption of these medicines to the recipients and also highlighted the various SOPs to be followed to remain safe from COVID-19.
Earlier , Enroute DDC also meet with various public delegations lead by Sarpanches and Panches of the area.
He gave patient hearing to their grievances which included repair work of PMGSY Road Bhatan, Water Supply Scheme for Bhagana among others and assured them that their grievances will be redressed in a time-bound manner.
