    Div Com reviews progress of Semi Ring Road project

    SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 15: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today convened a meeting to review the progress regarding construction of Semi Ring Road project around Srinagar city.
    Additional Commissioner Kashmir A.G. War, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone, Chief Engineer R&B, Project Director Project Implementation Unit of NHAI, Collector Land Acquisition PWD and other concerned attended the meeting, while as Deputy Commissioners of Pulwama, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora and Ganderbal districts participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
    The meeting was informed that the ring road project is 61 KM long and starts from Gallandar Pampore to Manigam Ganderbal. The meeting discussed issues like acquisition of land for the project, erection of pegs and pillars, demarcation of the aligned area and other related issues.
    On the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner directed the officers to clear hindrances in completion of semi ring road and explore the means to resolve them for smooth completion of the prestigious project.
    He also stressed the officers of NHAI to work with added zeal and in proper coordination with Deputy Commissioners of concerned districts, to ensure pacing up of ring road project work.
    He directed for resolving of all pending issues related to the project by February 27, 2017 for early land acquisition process.
