Pray for peace to the departed soul
Srinagar, Dec 15: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah have expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of National Conference District President Bandipora, Haji Khazir Mohammad Dar. Paying glowing tributes to the departed leader, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Mr. Omar Abdullah said his contribution to the party would be remembered for a long time to come.
Senior NC functionaries including NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani and NC North Zone President Mohammad Akbar Lone have also expressed grief over Haji Khazir Mohammad Dar’s demise and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Senior party functionaries also participated Dar’s residence at Bandipora and conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah on Thursday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of young journalist Mr. Arshad Malik. The NC Working President said he stands in solidarity with Arshad’s family in this hour of mourning and unimaginable grief.
“My heart goes out to young Arshad’s family and I stand in solidarity with them. He was a talented writer and a noted journalist who had made his mark at a very young stage in his career. He will be remembered by his colleagues and readers for a long time to come”, Omar Abdullah added.
National Conference Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, State Spokesperson Junaid Mattu and NC Leader Tanvir Sadiq have also expressed grief and shock over Malik’s demise and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
