JAMMU: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) organised two-long inter-division selection competition in the discipline of Judo (boys and girls) to raise state team for the upcoming National School Games in under-17 category.
The competition held at Judo Hall of the Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here. In all, 32 boys and girls from took part in the selection process. Now, these selected boys and girls shall be representing J&K in the School Games to be held at Telegana from December eight to December 14.
The Team: Boys: Vipul Verma, Romil Razdan, Aareen Kotwal, Shivam Sharma, Ketan Arora, Ayush Pandita, Paramver Singh, Hamid Javid. Girls: Aarti Devi, Bindiya Mahajan, Vanshika Manhas, Mehroonisa Javid, Amrita Roshan, Irham Khaliq, Anshika Manhas and Anmol Sharma.
The selected judokas shall be attending a six-day coaching camp before their participation in the nationals.
The bouts were officiated by the technical penal comprising Varinder Sharma, Raman Sharma, Rajeev Sharma and Kajal Premi.
