JAMMU , MAR 16 : AIP Supremo and MLA Langate, Er. Rasheed has strongly condemned death of a six year old kid in Lolab and appealed International Human Rights Organizations to take serious note of the incident.
In a statement issued today, Er. Rasheed said “ Not only the Chief Minister but so called security experts have been claiming Indian Army to be the best professional Army and praising J&K police for its anti-militancy operations. However what both have done to Kashmiris all these years is much more painful. However the incident that killed teen ager Kaneeza Bano in Lolab is ample proof to conclude that for New Delhi every Kashmiri whether he may be a kid, young or old, man or woman, militant or a common citizen, all of them are like enemies and security forces are deriving entertainment from such shameful so called encounters.
Let the Govt. answer if militants had not attacked the security forces, what forced forces to initiate and indulge in an operation which resulted in killing of innocent Kaneeza and injuring her brother. In Shopian also a lady was killed under same circumstances by the security forces, but nobody cared. The incident could have been avoided, but for the lust of blood of Kashmiris and to get perks and promotions, security forces are at liberty to do what they want. Had this shameful incident taken place in any other part of world it would have become a talking point everywhere”.
Er. Rasheed challenged the local representative, who happens to be the most powerful minister in Mahbooba Mufti cabinet to show courage and ensure that the terrorists in uniform, who crossed all limits of brutality and arrest them and take them to task.
He asked Minister to show the same anxiety towards the shameful incident in which cops are involved”. He also condemned the attack on Photo journalist in Srinagar today and said that the incident is a direct attack on entire journalist faculty and freedom of expression. Er. Rasheed demanded lodging of FIR against the police officer who crossed all limits while showing his true face to the journalist.
