SAMBA, DECEMBER 15- Taking forward the agenda of development, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today conducted an extensive tour of his constituency and inaugurated various development works including lanes & drains.
The Minister inaugurated up-gradation work of lanes and drains at Ward No. 1 in Bari Brahmana completed at a cost of Rs.15 lakh and executed by Urban Local Bodies.
Ganga also kick started the renovation work of lanes and drains in the same locality at an estimated cost of Rs. 3 lakh. The Minister was accompanied by the officers of Urban Local bodies and other senior officers of various concerned departments.
Meanwhile, the Minister also i
naugurated development works in Ward No. 5 Vijaypur, completed at a cost of Rs 8 lakh. He interacted with the locals and listened to their demands and grievances.
Responding to the demands, Ganga assured to the people that their demands would be redressed soon. He asked the concerned officers to to ensure effective implementation of the programs being run by the Government adding that participation of the people is imperative to identify development needs and to set priorities in integrated manner.
Ganga said that it is the priority of government to meet the aspiration of the people of the state and various efforts have been initiated in this regard. He said works pertaining to improvement of power and water supply, construction of lanes and drains and other civic works are high on government’s agenda.
