GDC Kalakote organises an Online Workshop on Yoga and Wellness
KALAKOTE, JUNE 16: The second day of online workshop on yoga and wellness was organized by Government Degree College Kalakote in Collaboration with EBSB (Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat) club to commemorate 6th International Yoga Day 2020. The Day-2 session started with the welcome speech of Principal, GDC Kalakote, Prof.(Dr.)Romesh Kumar Gupta, in which he welcomed all the participants and the guest speaker of the day, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Yoga coach from Haryana.
Out of 289 registered participants from all over the country,146 joined the morning session which was given by the guest speaker. In the morning session,Dr. Sanjeev Kumar gave hand on training on different yogic asanas and Pranayama etc. And beautifully explained by how incorporating Yogic activities in our daily life, we can attain optimum state of wellness along with curing and preventing diseases. In the afternoon session, he delivered a brain storming session on Ashtanga yoga and elaborated how everyone irrespective of age, gender, caste, creed or race can unite the individual soul with that of divine soul and attain the highest star of samadhi whilst doing daily house chores. The program was attended by the faculty members from different institutions of higher learning, Lecturers, Physical education teachers, research scholars and students from different states of the country. Speaking at the occasion,Dr Dinesh Kumar (physical director) also the organizing secretary said “no knowledge can be ever equated with the knowledge about health, as no other life objectives can be fully accomplished without the optimum health”. He added, “it is a bitter truth that we spent most our life in earning comfort and money and in the later part of our life we spent all of our hard earned money for buying health when it is too late”. So, instead of paying rich monthly premium in health insurance, just invest your time by participating in daily organised physical education program, I am sure you will see miracles happening in your life as well, it’s never too late.”
The program was also attended by other faculty members of the college,Prof.Sachin Kumar bhagat, Prof. Anayat Ullah khan, Dr. Afa Dul, Dr. Pinkey Rakwal, Prof. Sanjogita., Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed, Prof. Shivani Thakur, Prof. Esha Bhagat, Librarian Ruchika and Manoj Kumar Sharma.
