Jammu,Govt. College of Education celebrated WORLD WATER DAY with enthusiasm and zeal. This event was organized by NSS wing of the college. Prof. (Dr.) Koushal Smotra, Principal GCOE was the chief guest on the occasion. She addressed the students of the college and showed her concern over the scarcity of water and she also highlighted that there is a growing need to recycle water waste. She didn’t failed to mention that we should save and conserve drinking water from pollution by following various techniques of water conservation. The coordinator of the NSS, Prof. Sunita Devi, Assistant Professor in Education, deliberated on the theme. She asserted that we should unite to reclaim the sacred nature of water by preventing water pollution and wastage of clean water on WORLD WATER DAY. She also expressed grave concern for the sustainable management of fresh water resources. Keeping in mind “JAL HAI TOH JEEVAN HAI”.
In the last a pledge was taken by the principal, staff members and students of the college that they will use water judiciously and they will also motivate the members of the community for its conservation. Vote of Thanks was presented by Prof. Taahira Shah.
