Monitoring Desk,18-May;Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has said that the government will soon come out with an Integrative Health Policy which is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Ayush. Dr Mandaviya said that both the Ministries have worked out over it and after the Union Cabinet approval, the policy will be implemented. Dr. Mandaviya stated this while addressing the gathering after the inauguration of the two-day National Ayush Mission (NAM) Conclave in New Delhi today.
The Health Minister added that the world is now looking towards India with great expectations and both the Ministries have to work together to fulfill the expectations of the world in the health sector. He said, lakhs of people from various parts of the world are traveling to India every year for treatment in modern hospitals and Ayush hospitals.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister for Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal appealed to the people to work with a spirit of team India to fulfill the vision of making India self-reliant. He added that India has positioned its image as a strong nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mr Sonowal said that the two-day conclave will provide a roadmap to smooth implement its provisions of National Ayush Mission launched in 2014.
Minister of State for Ayush Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai said that in the last nine years, the budget of National Ayush Mission is increasing and for the year 2023-24, one thousand 200 crore rupees have been earmarked for it.
The objective of the Mission is to enhance the availability, accessibility, and quality of Ayush healthcare services across the country through Ayush Health Wellness centers as part of Government of India’s Ayushman Bharat scheme.
