On the eve of International Yoga Day, Government Polytechnic for Women, Jammu today organized an online Poster-making competition on the theme “Stay Home, Stay Safe” as a part of campaign for protective measure during COVID-19. A total of 35 students took part in the online competition, wherein the students depicted their talent with artistic expressions and colors.
Er. Ritu Jamwal, Principal of Government Polytechnic for Women Jammu congratulated the students for their creative ideas and appreciated the zeal of the students for taking part in the online Poster making competition and the efforts of the staff members for organizing the same. She told that such events may help the students to explore their hidden talent and artistic ideas, which may further enhance their self esteem and confidence. Mr. Vishal Nayyar, Mr. Harish Kumar and Ms. Bhavana Razdan lecturers of the Institution judged the events.
Ms. Simran Raina of 4th semester Computer Engineering secured first prize, Ms. Sanjana of MLT 6th semester secured second prize, Ms. Liza Talashi of 4th semester Computer Engineering and Pia Koul of Textile Designing secured third prize.
The events were co-ordinated by Ms Bhavana Arora (NSS Programme Officer), Mr Hameed Malik (Lecturer Computer Engineering) and Mr Manish Kumar (HOD).
