Srinagar, Feb 27 Distancing itself from the posters which ‘appeared in the Palhalan and other nearby areas’, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen on Monday said that the Indian agencies and their agents are using tactics to defame the militant outfit.
In an e-mailed the Hizb spokesman, Saleem Hashimi said, “The posters reading threat to some children and shutdown calls for Fri and Sat appeared in Palhalan and other adjacent areas is a plot of Indian agencies and their agents, which is aimed to defame the militant outfit.”
He said, “We have nothing to do with the posters. The families of the children who have been threatened in the posters have also suffered in the ongoing freedom movement. These children are our daughters and sisters. The Indian agencies and their agents are using social media also to defame us.”
“The shutdown calls are being given by the resistance leaders and if we call for a shutdown then we use a proper method for it. The shutdown calls given on the posters have no meaning,” Hashmi said.
Hizb spokesman appealed the people “to identify the persons doing such kind of things.”
