Shimla, Dec 14: Himachal Pradesh recorded coldest night today as minimum temperature further dipped in most parts of the state. Keylong in Lahaul Spiti district was coldest in the state with minus 5.6 degree Celsius. Met Office said mercury also went down in many tribal areas. Kalpa in Kinnuar district recorded minus one degree and tourist resort Manali minus 0.8 degree, Bhuntar in Kullu districtrecorded two degrees, Sundernagar in Mandi recorded 2.6 degrees and Solan three degrees. Mandi recorded 4.5 degrees, Shimla four degrees, Kangra 5.2 degrees, Una 6.4 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 8.5 degrees and Dharamshala in Kangra 10.4 degrees. The cold wave forced people to remain home. The month-long dry spell has delayed the Rabi season sawing, especially the Gram sawing has been affected in the foothills. Met Office forecast mainly dry weather in the state during next 24 hrs.
