Jammu, Jan 5: Demanding to constitute a high level committee to probe the huge land scam in Kot Bhalwal, the inhabitants of the area have alleged that one joginder Singh s/o Hari Singh and his son namely shamsheer Singh Rajput residents of Bhalwal Tehsil Bhalwal Distt Jammu have violated the terms of conditions mentioned over the mutation No 1690 of land measuring over 3538 kanals situated at kot Bhalwal.Seeking stern legal action against the father-son duo, the inhabitants of Kot Bhalwal have alleged that both with the assistance of some revenue officials have managed to sell the portion of said land thereby violating the terms and conditions mentioned in the mutation. The sources said that a huge chunk of land measuring 3538 kanals and 19 marlas situated at Kot Bhalwal vide Khasra Nos 4352,4349,4320,3481,4353,4713,4856 , 4877 and other numbers were escheated on 31st December1960 on mutation no 1690 of the village. The sources further said that the said land was restored back to joginder Singh s/o Hari Singh and his son namely Shamsheer Singh Rajput residents of Bhalwal Tehsil Bhalwal Distt Jammu by the Financial commissioner revenue and the order dated 3rd January 2015 passed by the Regional Director Survey and land records under the land revenue act with the condition that father-son duo shall not alienate the land without the permission of the govt. In this connection the tehsildar concerned was directed to satisfy the conditions before passing fresh orders of the mutation no 1690. But surprisingly on 23rd march 2015 the tehsildar Jammu corrected the mutation no 1690 in the papers without satisfying the laid conditions mentioned in the order dated 3rd march 2015. From the perusal of entries it seems that entries in the record have been made for some consideration by the tehsildar. The inhabitants have alleged that violating the orders the father – son duo have alienated the said land to different persons. The inhabitants have sought probe into the matter. The locals have said that that as per the order the land should have not been alienated but both joginder Singh s/o Hari Singh and his son namely shamsheer Singh are alienating the said land to the people .The inhabitants of the area have also alleged that though they have approached the concerned Tehsildar and other revenue officoials on several occasions but nobody could heed their grievances. It is said that the said land is a Khad land but bothh have used JCB machines to sale it and have already sold a portion of land.The locals said that despite the representations and repeated complaints to Tehsildar Bhalwal against the duo neither any legal action has been taken against them nor they have been prevented them from illegal use of the said land. The inhabitanta have demanded the government to constitute a high level team to probe the land scam in a time bound manner, In this connection they have also approached the revenue minister who has directed the concerned DC to submit the factual report in a time bound manner. The locals have also appealed the authorities to to take immediate legal action against the joginder Singh and his son and to implement the order dated 3rd January 2015 passed by the Financial commissioner revenue .They have also demanded that the said land be escheated to the state without any further delay.
