INDIAN ARMY ORGANISES “73rd REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS IN BANIHAL”

73rd Republic Day was celebrated with unprecedented zeal in which approx 50 people thronged to the venue of celebrations at Army Camp, Banihal. Spectators included civil administration officials, Security forces officials, opinion makers, Ex Servicemen and NGO persons from Banihal.
As the National Flag was unfurled, people stood together with the security forces in saluting the tricolor and sang the National Anthem.
Commanding Officer of the battalion greeted everybody on the occasion and said that with the continued co-operation from the people, Army would be able to perform its duties more effectively. He also brought out that there seems to be a change in attitude of the people wherein the focus of the populace seems to be economic prosperity.
During all the above events, social distancing & other precautionary measures with reference to COVID-19 were duly observed.
