State executive member & incharge Chenab valley for jKPM Advocate Nazim qazi condemned the opening and proposal of liquor shops in kashmir & stated that a civilised and religious society of Kashmir would never allow alcohol,drugs and booze around but these ethics must be maintained even after crossing the boundaries.He further said that Kashmir has been the abode of autism and all religion flourished here to their zenith which could never be replaced by culture of drugs and alcoholism.
Advocate qazi stated that jkpm categorically condemns this notification issued by govt of india for issuance of liquor 67 licences for opening of the liquor shop in the Kashmir valley which is detrimental to the cultural and religious values of people of union territory of j&k on the ground that it will spoil the life of thousands of youth in kashmir & there is every possibility that it will further destroy the life of the youth in kashmir which will be disastrous and alarming sign of entering the youth in militancy activities .
The govt of India instead of providing liquor licenses should focus and must adopt such a mechanism to engage the youth of kashmir in upliftment of education ,providing of jobs & other developmental activities so that youth of kashmir could be engaged in a right prospective way of earning a descent and respectable way of life
He further stated that the people never asked for liquor shops & want peace , development, jobs & education.
He further said that people need peace,development,jobs education and a respectable way of life.
He reiterated that by issuing such a notifications govt. is playing with Kashmiris & their religious sentiments which are hurting us emotionally, mentally & physically.
He asked as if the notification of wine shops refer to development after article 370 was abrogated to give fillip to peace and progress as promised to the people of the region
Advocate qazi appealed the government of India to revoke this notification forthwith keeping in view the aspirations ,emotion & public intrested at large.
He expressed his anguish that this alcohol culture will increase the domestic and increased crime against the women and children destroying the bonhomie of the families.He urged again the LG administration and central government to cancel the notification for a greater good of the region
