Kishtwar youth demand employment in M/s Patel Engineering Keru HEP.
Kishtwar : – Unemployed youths of District Kishtwar have sought employment in M/s Patel Engineering Ltd which has been awarded the execution of Keru hydro electric project (624 MW).
Joginder Bhandari a prominent youth leader of District Kishtwar has urged the management of M/s patel engineering limited to provide First priority of employment to local unemployed youths of District Kishtwar in Keru hydro electric project as per the agreement signed on 15 June 2020 between the management of M/s Patel Engineering Ltd and Chenab Valley Power projects limited (CVPPL) which speaks that 80% local unemployed youths of District Kishtwar should be given employment in Patel Engineering Company and in case required person is not available in the District in such circumstances the management of Patel Engineering Ltd can hire the services of such kind of manpower from out side the District /J&K U. T .
Bhandari further added and said that it has been reported that the management of M/s Patel Engineering Ltd are planning to engage engineers and other manpower on transfer basis from their other projects which will not be tolerated at any cost in case the management brings manpower on transfer basis from other projects.
He has asked the management of M/s Keru HEP to bring only core group of their company in the said project.
Bhandari said that, kishtwar youths will provide all sort of cooperation in the smooth functioning of the project and in case manpower is engaged on transfer basis in Keru hydro electric project in such circumstances the youth will jointly come out on streets and will not allow the company to work on Keru hydro electric project.
