12 overs up, Rahane has a fifty and so its time that the duo fire up now. They have Dhoni and Christian in the reserve, so they probably have to take that risk. Not much deliveries left.
Karn returns for his third over. Six runs picked up between the wickets off the first half of the over. Fourth delivery, pitching off stump, up the length and turns in as Rahane looking to defend it fails to strike and ball spins to hit the pad . LBW and umpire raises his fingers.
AM Rahane lbw b KV Sharma 56 (43b)
And MS Dhoni is the new man in. Lot of responsibility on his shoulders in the absence of Ben Stokes.

Change in attack as another pacer steps in. It is Jasprit Bumrah in for his first over. Just four singles picked up by the duo between the wickets off the five dive deliveries faced. Single off the last ball. Pune surely need to bounce back, if they want to continue on the race.

Over 1 | Score 6/1 | 0 (0) ; Rahane 4 (4)
Rahul Tripathi and Ajinkya Rahane are out at the pitch, while Mumbai Indians start off with left-arm pace action. Mitchell McClenaghan warms up with the new ball. And Qualifier 1 is underway.
Just three runs picked up between the wickets by Rahane off the first three deliveries faced. A single and a leg-bye off the the next two. Last delivery, fuller, seeps through bat and toe and topples down the middle stump. Rahul Tripathi depart early.
Rohit Sharma and his men might have finished at the top in the points table in league stage, but they have an uphill task ahead of them after being defeated twice by Pune in tenth edition.
Pune, who put a great show to bounce back in the second half of the tournament, will be without the services of Ben Stokes and Imran Tahir – two overseas players who have been largely responsible for taking them to the play-offs. Steve Smith, Ajinkya Rahane, Mahendra Singh Dhoni will have to click as a unit to put some big runs on board in case Pune bat first.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians will be the clear favourites in today’s match despite having lost two matches to Pune in the tournament previously. Jos Buttler is the only player who is missing from the squad but considering Lendl Simmons has filled in his shoes comfortably, Mumbai do not have much to ponder over.
Mumbai Indians outplayed the Kolkata Night Riders in their last league match to secure the top spot.
The side will be particularly satisfied that their bench strength clicked against KKR, providing them more options to choose from for the key clash.
There is a lot at stake as the winning team goes straight into the final to be played in Hyderabad on May 21, while the loser gets another chance in the Qualifier 2, to be played on May 19 in Bengaluru.
