MAYOR CHAIRS REVIEW MEETINGS OF OVERALL FUNCTIONING OF JMC
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 16/10/2020 chaired a review meeting at Town Hall Jammu in presence of Advocate Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor, Sh Baldev Singh Billowaria Chairman Public Health and Sanitation standing Committee, Sh Jeet kumar Angral Chairman Social Justice Standing Committee, Sh Parmod kapahi Councilor of ward no.14 as well as Chief Whip BJP General House Meeting, Madam Avny Lavasa Commissioner as well other officers of Jammu Municipal Corporation. A threadbare discussion on redressal of various issues of General public in terms of providing better sanitation and cleanliness, promoting more development activities & other important issues were held keeping in view the upcoming festival season as well as opening of Darbar move offices in Jammu. Mayor & Deputy Mayor asked the Commissioner to take immediate appropriate measures in order to ensure the punctuality in the office especially field staff of sanitation as well as transport section of JMC, removing the illegal encroachments done over the public drains as well as on nallahas, proper desilting of all the major nallahas flowing within the jurisdiction of JMC which is creating obstruction in the development activities in the city. Mayor also emphasized that work on vital projects of solid waste management, Swacch Bharat Mission etc which are in pipeline be expedited. Important discussions about preparedness on the upcoming event of “MY TOWN MY PRIDE” in Jammu Municipal Corporation was also held. Commissioner JMC assured the chair that every possible step shall be taken for better functioning of each section of JMC.
