MAYOR INAUGURATES VARIOUS DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES IN SAINIK COLONY AREA
Continuing the drive to provide better development & civic amenities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta, mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith Sh Narinder Singh Councilor of ward no.70 today on 22/10/2020 conducted an extensive tour in the various sectors of Sainik colony, met with the residents & listened to their issues in terms of providing better sanitation, development of different parks with modern facilities, renovation/construction of leftover drains/lanes, rectification of LED street lights and their installation in the remaining areas, lifting of stray dogs/animals on routine basis & other related matters. Mayor gave patience hearing to them and assured that all their genuine issues will be taken up on priority basis. Later he in presence of concerned councilor inaugurated the open gym with requisite number of equipment at park no EP 01 situated in Sec–E Sainik Colony, water cooler at main market Sec-E Sainik Colony Jammu as well as construction of pathway for morning/evening walkers in park No. E.P -11 Situated in Sec-E, Sainik Colony Jammu. Sh Parmodh Singh Chib ward no.70 President BJP, Sh Ajesh Gupta, Sh Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal, Sh Umesh Sharma, Sh Dilbagh Singh Jasrotia, S. Mandhir Singh, wing commander Mehta, Col. S. Sudan Adv. Gurmeet Singh Sarkaria, Commandant Slathia, Vijay Singh Jamwal, wing Commander T. R Rathore, Smt Prem Lata, Madam Parwinder Kour & other prominent inhabitants of the ward, as well as Sh Sunil Kumar Sharma, Executive Engineer, Sh Khalid Iqbal Assistant Executive Engineer, Division-IV & other field staff of health section of JMC, were also present during the tour of the mayor. He said that Jammu Municipal Corporation has already taken up the job of commissioning open gyms alongwith installing requisite number of equipment related to it, installing of water coolers with purifiers in every ward of the city for the welfare & convenience of the general public so that they can take full benefit of these facilities as the concept of construction open gyms in the park is a unique idea and wonderful innovation and it is the basic requirement in these days of busy schedule of one’s life.
Besides this, mayor alongwith Hon’ble Councilor also inaugurated a well-furnished coffee House namely M/s Sharma coffee House opp. Sh Guru Nanak Medicos at Sec –D Sainik Colony Jammu. Mayor was apprised by the owner of the coffee house that it is a unique type of counter & will provide the best quality food items under Most hygienic conditions to its consumers with reasonable rates.
