    Naqash, Hakeem visit families of Shaheed Basit Rasool, Shaheed Aarif Ahmad, pay tributes to Shaheed Abu Bakr martyred in Sopore

    SRINAGAR, Dec 15: Senior All Parties Hurriyat Confernece (APHC) leaders including Islamic Political Party – JK chairman Mohammad Yousuf Naqash and Muslim Democratic League president Hakeem Abdul Rashid on Thursday visited the residence of Shaheed Basit Rasool at Sanganaqashm and Shaheed Aarif Ahmad at Arwani, Islamabad in south Kashmir and expressed condolence and solidarity with them.

    A youth Arif Ahmad Shah was martyred by occupational forces when they opened fire on people who were protesting near the encounter site.

    The leaders also paid rich tributes to the Lashkar-e-Toyiba commander Abu Bakr who achieved martyrdom while fighting Indian forces in Sopore. They said martyrs are rendering great sacrifices and we are committed to pursue their mission and take that to its logical conclusion.

    As per a statement issued to press, the leaders expressed sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families and said our brave youth are sacrificing their lives to liberate the nation from the Indian oppression against the people of Jammu Kashmir.

    Praying in favour of martyrs, the leaders reiterated their pledge of continuing with the mission of martyrs and said that no one will be allowed to play with their precious sacrifices. They urged the parents of the martyrs to exhibit patience and assured them that the mission for which their loved ones laid down their lives will be accomplished at any cost.

    The Hurriyat leaders said the people of Jammu Kashmir by offering the sacrifices of 5 lakh lives have created a history and it is due to these sacrifices of our youth that Kashmir issue gained international recognition. They said the blood of martyrs will not be let go waste and will be safeguarded at all costs.

    They said the world community is duty bound to mediate in Kashmir to find a lasting solution to this dispute and should take strong note of the continuous human rights violations committed by Indian forces in the state.

    They appealed the world nations and the organisations supported by United Nations to break their silence on the grave situation in Kashmir and play their role in resolving this issue once for all in order to establish the peace in the subcontinent and South Asia and ultimately in the world.
