To eradicate the menace of the drug abuse, from District Kishtwar, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today launched the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign in District Kishtwar on the eve of 74th Independence Day celebration here at DC office complex Mini Secretariat Kishtwar.
Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Govt. Of India has e- launched the Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign in 272 most vulnerable Districts of the country in terms of substance and alcohol abuse.08 Districts of J&K, UT have been selected for Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign including Kishtwar District, informed DSWO Kishtwar Tariq Parveaz Qazi.
Keeping in view the alarming rate of increasing drug abuse and alcoholism in District Kishtwar, a District Level Nasha Mukt Campaign Committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of DDC Kishtwar, with District Social Welfare Officer Kishtwar as member secretary and has formulated a District action plan for the financial year 2020-21 to carry out a series of outreach/awareness programmes to be conducted by the Department of Social Welfare in convergence with other allied Departments in this regard.
