JAMMU: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, has promised that the National Conference will focus on delivering corruption-free services to the people if they win the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections in Jammu region.
The senior NC leader was speaking while addressing a meeting of 26 Wards of Bahu and Jammu South Constituencies of Jammu city at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu. The meeting was chaired by Chander Mohan Sharma, District President Jammu Urban and Naresh Bittu, District President Jammu Rural in which Rattan Lal Gupta, was the Chief Guest.
The Provincial President said that the National Conference, if given the opportunity to serve, would make sure to provide the best possible civic services to the people of Jammu with a focus on waste management. The party also aims to promote the Municipal Corporation to the world level. Furthermore, all services provided by the National Conference will be tax-free and Property tax imposed will be rolled back. The party, Gupta said, believes that this will encourage more people to engage with their local government and create a stronger community and better sense of civic pride.
Gupta called on the people of Jammu city to support the National Conference in the upcoming ULB elections, as he believes that they are the ones who can deliver the best services and true transparency to the people. He stated that NC is committed to fulfilling the responsibilities of the elected leaders and making Jammu a better place for all.
Gupta ended his statement by acknowledging that it is not just the National Conference that is responsible for creating a better future for Jammu, but the collective effort of all its citizens. He encourages people to vote and take an active role in the development of their communities.
“The National Conference’s goal is to make Jammu a true model for the rest of the country to follow. The party believes that with their vision, strong leadership, and commitment to the principles of democracy, it can create a brighter future for the people of Jammu,” he added.
Babu Rampaul former minister and Central Zone President said that the National Conference is known for its long-standing commitment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The party has a strong presence in the region, and has played a key role in shaping the political landscape of the state. It has always been a proponent of democracy, social justice, and economic development, he added.
Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Provincial Secretary Jammu said the upcoming ULB elections are essential for the people of Jammu as it is a crucial stepping stone towards true democracy and accountability. He asked people to support NC in the upcoming polls in Jammu with an aim to get better services in the office of ULBs in Jammu city.
