NSF flays BJP Govt for open loot through Toll Plazas in Jammu, demands immediate removal or face consequences
Jammu:24-07-20: Holding BJP Government responsible for converting city of Temples Jammu as the city of Toll Plazas, National Secular Forum snubbed the BJP leaders dubbing them as liars and disloyal to their voters who are being subjected to tremendous sufferings due to anti-Jammu policies.
Addressing a crowded media in a press conference today, Dr Vikas Sharma, State President, National Secular Forum (NSF) recalled the bundles of promises and commitments held out to the public at the time of general and assembly elections by BJP for bringing sea changes in Jammu Division to facilitate ease of living for people, he rued, adding that what to talk of becoming the harbinger of happiness and good going for the people of Jammu, BJP instead focused its attention to load people of Jammu with not one or two but four Toll Plazas to harass and financially make them bankrupt with fourth one Toll Plaza recently put to operation at Lakhanpur two days ago.
Castigating the anti-Jammu and pro-Kashmir centric policies of Modi Government, Dr Vikas Sharma pointed out that the worst kind of governance of BJP has thrust four Toll Plazas in Jammu Division from Lakhanpur up to Nassri Tunnel within 190 kilometres approximately whereas in Kashmir division covering 140 kilometres from Jawahar Tunnel to Kupwara district, only one Toll plaza has been installed, which speaks of their discriminatory attitude to mentally and financially torture Jammu people.
Criticizing the appeasement policy of BJP government inclined to keep people in good humour across the valley and throttle the lives of people in a Jammu Division by draining out pockets of Jammuities by installing four-four Toll Plazas and few reportedly in the pipeline, Dr Vikas said that loud promises made by BJP President of UT Ravinder Raina to the public in print and electronic media promising to uproot Toll plaza at Sarore have turned out to be a big flop and cheated the people of Jammu in as much as BJP rather added to their woes by allowing now fourth Toll Plaza at Lakhanpur and hoodwinking the voters of Jammu.
Dr Vikas drew the attention of Lt Governor to come out of slumber and see for himself why step-motherly treatment is being meted out to people of Jammu and take remedial measures to redress the grievances of people here on priority otherwise National Secular Forum shall be a constraint to come on the road and launch an agitation to seek justice.
