Over a dozen, Migrant Kashmiri Pandits join J&K Apni Party
Jammu, Aug 19: Over a dozen migrant Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir Valley joined Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) here at the headquarters of the party in Gandhi Nagar.
The programme was organised under the leadership of former minister Mohammed Dilawar Mir and Ex-MLC Vijay Bakaya in the party office.
During the programme, Dilawar Mir and Vijay Bakaya welcomed them into the party. Prominent among those who joined the party includes Vinod Koul, Pintu Ji Pandita, Sahab Ji Pandita, Vinod Pandita, Sunil Raina and others. These Kashmiri Pandit migrants, according to Bakaya, belong to Kupwara, Baramulla, Anantnag and other districts of Kashmir Valley.
Mir, while welcoming them into the party, said that the party stands for the unity of Jammu and Kashmir. Mir assured the party will leave no stone unturned to resolve issues of the migrant Kashmiri Pandits.
Speaking on the occasion, Ex-MLC Vijay Bakaya said that “The Apni party would respond to their problems and get them resolved. They were confident that this party, because of its vision of pragmatic politics, would prosper and grow in strength.”
Besides Vijay Bakaya and Mohammed Dilawar Mir, Ajaz Kazmi, Gourav Kapoor, Abhay Bakaya, Sahil Wazir and others were present on the occasion.
