Udhampur,July 10: A road sanctioned under 14 th FC for a village under the jurisdiction of Panchayat Rassain of Ghordi block of Tehsil Ramnagar in district Udhampur has not been completed despite the availability of funds. The reports said that the performance of RDD of Ghordi block has been slow in executing the works of villages. The reports further said that the officials of the RDD bother little to care for the villagers as they act not like public
servants but public masters. The reports added that few months back in the department started the construction of a tractor road in Mohra Kadmari of Panchayat Rassain under the 14 FC from Rural Development Department with out keeping the space for drains.Though the cost of road was estimated at 1.50 Lakh but few hours work has been done as the contractors in nexus with the employees want to grab the amount under the garb of construction of the said road. The people of the area have appealed the authorities to probe into the matter and threatened to come on roads in case the probe is not initiated.
