People on Saturday held protests and blocked Talab Tillo road after a teenager was killed in road accident. The reports said that an 18 year old youth fell from a moving mini-bus in Talab Tillo area of city outskirts resulting in serious injuries and later he succumbed to injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.After the news about beath of youth spread ,peopletook to streets and held protests and blocked vehicular traffic on the busy Talab Tillo road for about two hours .demanding speed breakers on specific places on the Talab Tillo road to avoid rash driving so that such mishaps do not occur in future. According to a police spokesman, the mishap occurred. when the victim was travelling while hanging on the door of the mini-bus bearing registration number JK02BN-0677and another mini-bus bearing registration number JK02AX-9541 tried to overtake the former, he got trapped between two vehicles and fell down, resulting into serious injuries to him. “The injured youth was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries “, The victim has been identified as Aman, son of Babu Ram, resident of Gole Panj Pir Talab Tillo A case has been registered and both the vehicles involved in the mishap have been seized while further investigations are underway.
