Pulwama district in south Kashmir remained shut for the second consecutive day on Tuesday to mourn the killing of two Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militants.
All the business establishments and other shops remained shut in Pulwama town.
Public transport remained off the roads.
On Sunday, two militants died in a brief encounter at Padgampora Awantipora, triggering massive protests and clashes in many areas of south Kashmir.
Yesterday, at least 20 persons were injured in the clashes. Many of them were hit by pellets.
